Gina Scherr has designed lights internationally and domestically with various theatre and dance companies. New York designs include Pitch and Waxing West (ECA at LaMaMa ETC), Aliens With Extraordinary Skills (Women’s Project), Vendetta Chrome (Clubbed Thumb at the Ohio Theatre), Babyface (Walkerspace), The Movado Hour (Baryshnikov Arts Center), Gulf View Drive (78th Street Theatre Lab), Momma and God’s Waiting Room (PS122), The Apple Trilogy (Company XIV) and Chamber Dance Project at The Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater. Other designs include lights for Why Not Theatre’s I’m So Close It’s Not Even Funny (Dublin Fringe Festival and Toronto’s Summerworks Festival), Digital Buddha (Seoul, Korea), and Safe in Hell (Yale Repertory Theatre). Gina received her MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
